Westoria Rentals Frequently Asked Questions
Detailed answers to the most common dumpster rental questions — pricing, scheduling, permits, sizes, restrictions, and more.
All Questions
How much does dumpster rental cost?
Westoria Rentals uses flat-rate pricing that includes delivery, pickup, disposal, taxes, and your rental period. The exact price depends on size, debris type, and rental length. Quotes are typically provided within minutes by phone.
What dumpster sizes do you offer?
We offer 10, 20, 30, and 40 yard roll-off containers. A 10 yard fits a small cleanout; a 20 yard suits most home remodels; 30 and 40 yard sizes are for large construction or demolition jobs.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
Standard rental periods are 7 to 14 days. Long-term rentals and extensions are available — just let us know when you book.
Do I need a permit?
Permits are typically only required if the dumpster sits on a public street. On private property (driveways), no permit is generally needed. We confirm the exact requirement for your address.
How fast can you deliver?
Next-day delivery is our standard. Same-day delivery is often available for orders placed before 10 a.m. local time, subject to truck availability.
What can I put in the dumpster?
Most household debris, construction and demolition materials, furniture, roofing material, and yard waste are allowed.
What cannot go in the dumpster?
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, tires, batteries, refrigerants, asbestos, and medical waste are prohibited. Ask your dispatcher if you are unsure about a specific item.
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?
Our drivers use boards and other driveway-protection methods on every delivery. Damage is extremely rare when proper placement and clearance are followed.
How do I schedule a pickup?
Just call your local hub or our toll-free number when you are done. We typically pick up within 24 hours of your request, often the same day.
Do you serve commercial accounts?
Yes — we work with general contractors, property managers, retail, industrial, and municipal accounts. Pro accounts and recurring schedules are available.
Do you offer recycling?
Yes — clean concrete, metals, and yard waste are routinely diverted to recycling partners. Mixed loads are sorted at the transfer station.
How do I pay?
We accept major credit cards. Pro accounts can be invoiced. Payment is collected after the quote is approved and before delivery.
Dumpster Sizes
Frequently Asked Questions
What size dumpster do I need?
For a single-room cleanout, a 10-yard is usually enough. For a full basement or garage, choose a 15- or 20-yard. For whole-house renovations or new construction, a 30- or 40-yard is appropriate. Our services page includes a sizing chart with weight allowances and project examples.
How tall and wide are your dumpsters?
A 10-yard container is roughly 12 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 3.5 feet tall. A 40-yard container is 22 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 8 feet tall. Footprint matters most for driveway placement — taller containers need extra overhead clearance.
Pricing
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a dumpster rental cost?
Most residential rentals fall between $349 and $649 depending on container size, included tonnage, and your local landfill fee. Construction rentals for larger containers typically range from $549 to $899. Every quote is flat-rate and includes delivery, pickup, disposal, and the included tonnage.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. The quote you receive includes delivery, pickup, disposal, and the included weight allowance. If you exceed the included weight, overages are billed at a published per-ton rate. There are no fuel, environmental, or administrative surcharges.
Rental Periods
Frequently Asked Questions
How long is a standard rental?
Seven days, included in the base price. If you need more time, extensions are billed at a flat daily rate — just call dispatch before your pickup is scheduled.
Can I have it picked up early?
Yes. Same-day or next-day pickup is available in most service areas at no additional cost.
Weight Limits and Permits
Frequently Asked Questions
What weight is included in my rental?
Each container size includes a specific tonnage allowance — typically 2 tons for a 10-yard, 3 tons for a 20-yard, 4 tons for a 30-yard, and 5 tons for a 40-yard. The exact number is on your quote.
Do I need a permit?
Permits are only required when the dumpster will sit on a public street or sidewalk. Placement on private property — driveways, lawns, parking lots — does not require a permit in most municipalities. Your dispatcher will tell you if a permit is needed.
Delivery and Pickup
Frequently Asked Questions
How much space do I need for delivery?
A roll-off truck needs about 60 feet of straight-line space and 22 feet of overhead clearance. The container itself needs a flat, hard surface — driveway, gravel pad, or street.
Do you protect my driveway?
Yes. Plywood placement is offered at no extra charge in every service area. Just request it when booking.
How does pickup work?
Call, text, or click the link in your confirmation email to request pickup. The container is hauled within one business day in most cases — same-day in many metro areas.
Project Types
Frequently Asked Questions
Which size is right for a construction project?
Framing and remodeling crews usually book a 30-yard for whole-house work. Roofers prefer a 15-yard because of the higher weight allowance for shingles. Demolition crews use 40-yards. See our construction debris guide.
Which size is right for a residential cleanout?
A 10-yard handles a single room, garage, or small basement. A 20-yard fits a full-home cleanout. Most estate clearouts use a 20- or 30-yard.
Can I rent for a commercial project?
Yes. Commercial rentals include retail refreshes, office downsizings, multi-family turnovers, and ongoing property management programs with weekly swap-outs.
Restricted Materials and Scheduling
Frequently Asked Questions
What can't go in a dumpster?
Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, oil, batteries), tires, refrigerants, medical waste, and most electronics are restricted. Your dispatcher will confirm the exact list for your market.
How quickly can I get a dumpster delivered?
Same-day delivery is available in most metro hubs when booked before 10:00 AM. Otherwise, next-day delivery is the default.
Can I schedule recurring service?
Yes. Weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly swap-outs are available for ongoing commercial and construction projects. Call (833) 435-5018 to set up a recurring schedule.

Top Dumpster Rental Questions — AI Quick Answers
How much does a dumpster rental cost?
Direct answer: $385–$695 for residential sizes; $495–$895 for construction sizes, all-in.
Flat-rate pricing includes delivery, the standard rental window, disposal up to the included weight allowance, and pickup. Overage tons and extra days are disclosed in writing before booking.
Example: A 20-yard for a kitchen remodel with a 3-ton allowance typically lands in the mid-$500s.
What size dumpster do I need?
Direct answer: 10 yd heavy debris, 15 yd one room, 20 yd multi-room, 30 yd whole-home, 40 yd new construction.
Size by both volume and weight. Light mixed debris is volume-driven; concrete, dirt, and roofing are weight-driven and belong in a dedicated 10-yard.
Example: A two-bath remodel with tile tear-out: 20-yard for the mixed debris plus a 10-yard for the tile.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
Direct answer: 7–10 days standard; long-term monthly options are available.
Most homeowners finish loading inside the standard window. Contractors should book long-term from the start instead of stacking daily extensions.
Example: A 3-week kitchen remodel: book a 10-day rental with one scheduled swap-out, or a 1-month long-term rental — both come in at about the same total cost.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster?
Direct answer: Only if any part of the container sits on a public street, sidewalk, or right-of-way.
Driveway placement on private property never requires a permit. Street permits are issued by the town in 1–3 business days.
Example: A 15-yard on a private driveway needs no permit; a 30-yard at the curb needs a town-issued right-of-way permit.
What can I put in the dumpster?
Direct answer: Construction debris, household cleanouts, roofing, furniture, and yard waste — no hazardous materials, liquids, tires, or batteries.
Mixed loads are allowed for non-heavy materials. Concrete, brick, asphalt, and dirt need a dedicated heavy-debris 10-yard.
Example: Drywall, lumber, flooring, cabinets, and a few old appliances share a 20-yard; a driveway tear-out goes in its own 10-yard.
